Augmented-reality (AR) technology is fast becoming a hot trend in apps. Now, toy manufacturer Jay@Play is leveraging the technology to improve your gaming experience. The company's MushABelly collectibles will now include 3D augmented-reality game. Android users will have to wait a while.
The game, powered by Jay@Play's ToyTube Network, seeks to merge the game world with the real world for users of smartphones device equipped with augmented reality technology from Jay@Play's partner Gravity Jack.
You can play catch with the Mushabellies, listen to their hilarious sound effects or tap the Mushabellies to earn more points. You can also use a Toy Tube Tracker Card to launch MushABelly Mungo Monkey at a targeted barrel and score banana points.
The company has informed that six new MushABelly characters will debut this year, including Heckle the Hedgehog, Racket Raccoon, Finless Frog, Buzzie Bee, Mungo Monkey and Conan Cow. The new characters will also feature in the games.
The MushABelly Apple App is available for free. Android users will have to wait for the app to be launched soon in the Android Market. The app will be available for devices running Android 3.0+ operating systems and more.
