Elektrobit (EB) has announced that its technology will power two devices from Raptor Identification (Raptor ID)'s Mobile Biometric Products suite. The suite consists of:

* RaptorONETM, an Android-based smartphone with full multi-biometric screening capability
* RaptorPADTM, a tablet with Full Biometric Enrollment capability.

Both devices will run on EB's Specialized Device Platform, a customizable Android platform, which enables the company to incorporate advanced biometric technologies at low costs. In fact, the platform enables integration of low cost modular attachments for specific requirements and facilitate production of high volumes of core products at lower cost per unit.

EB believes Raptor ID will "combine robust communication capability and substantial processing power with their state of the art biometric technologies" to enable a range of stand-alone and network-connected apps. These apps are expected to fulfill various requirements of departments like the Defense, Homeland Security, Justice and Law Enforcement through "one self-contained, multifunction, device".

The RaptorONE and RaptorPAD products incorporate:

* Raptor ID's Extended Depth of Field (EDOF) iris capture technology: The technology lets users capture iris images with "extraordinary clarity" from 5-9 inches away.
* Raptor ID's exclusive Talon biometric capture interface: It is an icon-based, intuitive application, which enables quick user training.
