If you have been on the lookout for a good web-page reader, you may want to check the newly-launched Readability application on the Amazon Appstore. The app, with typography by Hoefler & Frere-Jones, declutters a Web page and turns it into a 'clean view' for reading on your PC or Android device.
Content can also be stored or saved for reading later at your own pace using the Readability add-on on your browser. The app has received positive response from Kindle e-readers and now Android users can enjoy the same convenience of Readability too on their mobile devices.
All you need to do is visit the Readability website using your preferred browser and install the Readability add-on for free.
When a Web page is saved to Readability, it saves on your favorite Web browser or Android device as well. There are customization options like type and text sizes and adjustable contrast. Articles that you have finished reading can be tapped to archive.
You can also mark items/articles as Favorite, archive or share share content with your friends on Twitter and Facebook, or by e-mail.
While the app is available only in the Amazon Appstore for users in the US, users outside of the US can go to the Google Play Store and download the app.
