Verizon Wireless and Slacker are collaborating to bring the latest Slacker Radio application to the Android tablet. The company noted the app is "highly visual" and comes with a "content-rich interface to get the most from a fast 4G LTE connection". We may recall, Verizon introduced its Innovation Program to promote its 4G LTE ecosystem through strategic collaborations.
Slacker Radio for the Android tablet features:
* A station tile display with horizontal and vertical scrolling
* Preview of stations before playing
* Optimized browser for convenient content discovery
* Simplified navigation
The app offers lyrics, album reviews, artist profiles and more in a single platform. Slacker boasts the new app "combines the hands-off listening experience... with hands-on, in-depth music discovery perfected for a high speed network."
Slacker Radio offers a fully-customizable online radio experience in the US and Canada. It has over 150 stations, personalized ABC News as well as ESPN sports content, comedy, custom artist-hosted showcase stations and leading music festival stations featuring artist commentary and exclusive interviews.
